A deer is wounded by the hunters. He knows he should run away from them, but he sees the king has fallen from the horse and he has got hurt, too. The deer decides to help the king, but he himself could not survive and dies in the end. This book is blaming animal hunting and shows its rough face through this gentle story. The author believes the main narrator of this book is its illustrations and the words only support the pictures.

Ahmad Akbarpour, writer, was born in Fars province in 1970 and got his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran. He now resides in Shiraz and collaborates with Fars Network, the provincial state-owned television there. In his stories, Akbarpour deals with themes such as fear, loneliness, and peace.The most distinguishing characteristic of his works is their humor, which makes his writings captivating and agreeable. Akbarpour, who is always on the lookout for new and different elements, is thus able to look at his subject from a different perspective in some of his works and pull the reader’s imagination along. He has also had the experience of rewriting some old legends. Some of his works are translated into English, German, Korean, Italian, and Arabic.
