Farhad Hassanzade, born on the 9th of April 1962 in Abadan, is among the writers who have written in all literary fields like Children and adolescent stories and novels for adults. Hassanzade has more than 100 books and some of his works have already translated into Malay, English, and Chinese. According to some of his books, some films and animations have been produced. He is a member of the founding board of Children and Adolescents Writers Association and in some periods, he was chosen as a member of directing board of this Association. Hassanzade has already won 20 prizes for his works. The most important of his prizes are the medal of Golden Moon in the great Festival of Iran's Children and Adolescents' Literature. He was chosen as Iran's candidate for Astrid Lindgren Award by Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in 2017.
