This book includes imaginary letters of a girl named Sarah to a Giant that visits her in her dreams every night and frightens her. Regardless of the number of letters Sarah sends him, the Giant will not answer her. Gradually, Sarah’s fear of the Giant becomes less and less. She tells him everything and becomes his friend. Finally, Mr. Giant sends a letter to Sarah in the language of the giants that Sarah does not understand that. Since then, Mr. Giant never appears in Sarah’s dreams.
Many psychologists regard reading this book useful for children who are afraid of darkness and unknown creatures.
Author About:
Mohammadreza Yousefi was born in1953 in Hamedan and is a writer and theorist of children and adolescent literature. Besides writing for children and adolescent, he is also writing screenplays and plays. He has already published more than 200 works for children and adolescents.
In 2000, he was a candidate for the prize of Hans Christian Anderson.
