Altin and Atlie who are a Turkman girl and boy, are from different social and economic backgrounds, but both are living in the beautiful green and lavish plains of Iran’s Turkman.Altin likes to follow the flying migrant cranes by riding on a horse back till reaching a far away village, and she is Atlie’s responsibility. He must accompany and protect her.Atlie is Khan’s shepherd and takes his sheep for herding to plains and plays music for them.Altin and Altie grow and fall in love, but Dashlie, son of chief of neighboring village is also in love with Altin. Their competition cause many problems. Finally the elders of both villages decide that Altie and Dashlie should compete by riding their horses when cranes start arriving from their long flight. Whoever hunts more cranes would marry Altin. Dashlie who is a trained archer from childhood, start hunting cranes with the ease of a professional. But Altie has his own way to bring down the cranes….
