The main theme of this book is designing basics in Iranian architecture. The first part of the book reviews two experiences of teaching architecture in Iran and Italy. The second and third parts make addresses’ mental atmosphere familiar with two educational looks and styles which one of them is on the basis of past architecture continuation and the other is based on discrete individual innovation in the past.

Gh. Hossein Memarian taught from 1985 to 1994 at School of Architecture of University of Science and Technology at Tehran. He was trained as an architect at Genoa University in Italy. His Ph.D. has been taken at School of Architecture, the Manchester University in 1998. He has held the chair of Architectural Research Center at School of Architecture of University of Science and Technology from 1987 to 1994.
