Fatemeh Foroutan Isfahani, 1969-
Fatemeh Foroutan is an Iranian contemporary writer, journalist and literary referee who has published books for children and teenagers. Foroutan first book was published in 2004, including a book series of poems for children. Since then she has published many works among them some praised novels with the subject of Iran-Iraq war. The literary style of the writer is based on reality, ordinary life of the people and simple characters in complicated situations. She develops such real ideas through suspense and action and characters who are not flat and prosaic. When we were in the arms of the mountain is one of her outstanding works that won the prize of “Blue Bird Festival”.
