Stray Mortars is a collection of five volumes of comic stories including: "The Mercenary Brothers", "Jasim Rambo", "Shemr and Saddam and his followers", "Mara Dona in the enemy's barricade" and "the commander's groom"; each of them with about 5-10 short stories.

Davood Amirian- 1970
Davood Amirian is a well-known figure in the Iranian children and adolescents literature. His main interest of subject is war atmosphere. He has published his memories of Iran-Iraq war at the age of twenty. Creating a humorous, live, ambitious and active young characters are the core of attention in the works of Amirian. He has won many national prizes in literature including “National Book of the Year Award”, “Holy Defense Book of the Year Festival”, and “The Seasonal Book Award”.
