The novel narrates the story of a young adult, Mohammad, who is deployed to the war front. In a march of his battalion, he notices a wounded donkey left alone on a rock. Mohammad decides to save and cure the animal and with the help of his friends and takes it to their garrison. The scar on the donkey’s foot is severe now and they must cut its leg to survive. Or they must kill the poor animal. But Mohammad finds a way.
