Ehsan, a young boy, lives with his family in a village near the Iran-Iraq border during the eight-year Iran-Iraq war. In this village that still does not have electricity, the children cannot sleep at night. They worry about Iraqi bombs and tanks, and the ‘boogiemen’ that kill you in your sleep and cut off your ears to take with them. The village doctor and his family fall victim to these “Ear-slicers”.
