Book About:
The author Ayatollah Javadi Amoli expands upon
the differences between the sources of obligation
and right and the impact of this difference upon the
principles of obligation and right, offering the audience
an interesting outlook.
In order to describe the difference between the
sources of obligation and right among Muslims
and Westerners, attention has been paid to the
essential point that difference between principles
is often rooted in difference between sources and
this difference revolutionizes the course of human’s
thought. Therefore, should the sources be different,
consensus and ideology in principles does rarely
come about. Hence, the principles of the belief rooted
in intellect, revelation, and religious texts, cannot
be one and the same as the principles of the one
rooted in experience and instrumental intellect.
It seems as though, only tracing back the issue
of right and obligation as well as all legal and jurisprudential
issues back to their roots will guarantee
a desirable outcome.
In fact, this subject is ancillary to the issues of
epistemology, divinity, anthropology, and theology.
In the same way that laws, edicts, and obligations
are concepts, which assume meaning in relation to
human and his/her individual and social life in the
face of authority.
In order to lend the discussion some order and
organization, the subjects explored in the book
have been subsumed under the titles of the relationship
between epistemology and legal issues,
the relationship between ontology and the issue of
right and obligation, and the relationship between
anthropology and theology.
