In this book, we read the story of the battle between rain angel and drought demon. Ancient Iranians believed in various angels and Goddesses, perceiving them as the world warriors. Sependarmaz was the earth goddess, and Tishtar was the rain angel. The Ahriman sends Opush, the evil drought demon to earth to dry waters and destroy plants. Ahura Mazda, on the other hand, sends Tishtar to fight against Opush, making rains and filling the earth with water. The battle goes on for several days, with each of the parties winning on some occasions. Worried about the earth destiny, Ahura Mazda gives a great strength to Tishtar. Finally, Tishtar wins against Opush. The earth gets green and all those who had run away from heat to resorts go into the fields, celebrating Tishtar’s victory.
