The fable of “The Goat with Bells on her Legs” is amongst the very old stories in Persian-speaking countries, India, and Europe. The fable has been narrated through generations in different regions of Iran as well as in other countries such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Armenia under different names and variations.
The protagonist of the fable is a goat who takes care of her kids by herself. The number of her kids differs in different versions from various countries. Brothers Grimm, in Germany, have narrated the tale differently and the number of the kids in their version is seven.
The protagonist of the version in this book, narrated in both Persian and German, is called The Goat with Bells on her Legs. She has three kids. Confronted with a bad, hungry, greedy wolf, she endangers herself to save the kids whereby depicting a maternal love.

This German resident writer has published 4 folkloric stories in the bilingual form of German and Farsi. She is active in the way of expanding Iran’s culture.
