The National Plan for Recognizing Ecological Areas of Iran started in late 1989 in parts of the country. The main purpose of this project was to obtain information on vegetation types in rangelands and their ecological characteristics. This project was gradually expanded to cover different provinces of the country, including Fars province. The present book is the result of implementation of this project in Fars province
