Dr. Mohammad Daryai was born in Tehran in 1951, and graduated in the field of biology in branch of phytology and herbal medicine at University of Tehran. By receiving an expert degree, he entered a realm of Islamic medicine and traditional medicine which in fact, created an Iranian medicine in 1979. He continued his researches on this basis.
His first investigatory book regarding to the causes of the boycott of pork in religion and science's viewpoint was published in 1973. He was honored to study and work in the presence of the great professors such as martyr Dr. Paknejad, Dr. Ghiasud-din Jazayeri, Dr. Hassan Ebrahimzadeh, Dr. Mandeh, Dr. Ahmad Ghahreman (morphologist), Dr. Sheibani (physiologist), and Dr. Malekzadeh (microbiologist). He was good at Arabic and English languages, and consequently, referred to the basic references of traditional medicine's books and Islamic teaching, and gathered his reports from the primary sources. With accurate translation and investigatory analysis into the up-to-date language as well as referring to the foreign references has yielded useful works that are valuable to the community. In 2001, he has founded Medicinal Herb Promotion Association with a group of like-minded friends in the Iranian medicine, and trained many enthusiasts on the beneficial sources of Islamic medicine and traditional medicine. He has registered the Restorative Society of Iranian Medicine with the help of other numerous researchers, and also, he was given the chairmanship of this board in 2012. He has also several efforts to expand Islamic-Iranian medicine and therapeutic herbs.
