Hananeh is the story of a girl who has experienced the hard times of the 8 years Iran-Iraq war. She is from Abadan. Her father is martyred during the war. Her mother has died a while ago. She is now head of the family. The writer of the book invites her to talk about her family, life and those difficult days of war. Hananeh is a documentary narrative with simple and interesting structure. The book is first published in 2014 and then reprinted many times. It has been appreciated by the 8th Shahid Ghanipour Literary Festival. Excerpt: Hananneh was great. It was so for others too. She knew herself in the same way. After the death of her mother she has kept her family. But still felt a deep need to be caressed by her mother’s lovely hands. She took he mother’s photo frame from the wall, put the net cover aside and kissed the photo. Then again covered the frame and put it among the clothes. Hananeh took the frame of her father’s photo too and put it between clothes in the bottom of the sack. Since her mother’s death, she felt the lack of her father, though she has never seen her father!

Maryam Baradaran, 1977- Dr. Maryam Baradaran is a well-known documentary writer working on the Iran-Iraq war and its social concequences. She focuses on her selected characters and narrates their real sense and sentiments about the war and its experiences. She has won the first prize of 9th Jalal Ale Ahmad Literary Award in documentary field for the book “R”. The book was appreciated by many critics and welcomed in social media. Dr. Braradaran has been selected as the jury of documentary department in 2018 Jalal Ale Ahmad Literary Award. She is also the professor of planning and expanding high education in Imam Sadegh University in Tehran.
