In‘The Wrong Zebra’, the zebra is cross for having strips and taken for the crosswalkby mistake. So he decides to cover all his body with flowery wallpaper. Now he has a new problem; everybody takes him for the flower garden. In ‘The Scarecrow’s Heart’, the scarecrow visits the doctor and even though he actually doesn’t have a real heart, something just like the sparrow’s heart has been beating in his chest since a couple of days ago. At this point he discovers that a sparrow has nested under his clothes.

Tahereh Eybod, children’s and young adult writer, was born in Shiraz. She studied English language at the university and began her career in children’s and young adult literature in ear - ly 1980s. Besides writing, she also has executive experiences, e.g. literary expert in the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon), being on the editorial boards of some children’s and young adult literature publica - tions, being a board member of the Iranian Association of Writ - ers for Children and Youth for several terms, etc. She has also taught story writing in various organizations. The content of her works reflect a similar diversity. Eybod has written works with themes such as war, religion, family, etc. She has written fantasy novels for young adults, mini-sto - ries for children, and works in which humor is the most distin - guished characteristic.
