Written for preschool children, the series consists of 15 volumes of which nine have been published to this date. All the stories are thematically based on friendship and sympathy. The amusing tales and interesting illustrations are created by Iranian outstanding writers and skillful illustrators under the supervision of Majid Raasti, the author and the head of Mehrabe Ghalam’s board of children’s literature. The art director of the series is Hoda Haddadi, the internationally acclaimed artist. This book tells the story of an ant, a beetle and a cricket that see a nut falling off the tree. Each one claims the nut. Then, a stone comes to play with them and jumps on the nut and breaks its shell! Each of them takes a share of the nut and walks away.
Author About:
Mohammadreza Shams is a writer and translator for children and young adults. He was born in Tehran in 1957. Among his works are “A basket of Apples”, “If this Stick was mine”, etc. After the Islamic Revolution, he collaborated with many magazines for children and young adults.
