The novel contains an imaginary story of a brother &sister by the name of Liana &Edris, full of secrets and allusions entering the world of strange creatures and adventures. The story begins when a mermaid requests Edris to bring a cradle for her infant. Edris and his father whose job is hunting pearls from the bottom of the sea have a casket in their house upon which a painting of marmaid , Sinbad ,… can be seen. The legendry figures painted on the casket, are animated gradually and try to help Liana and Edris in fulfilling the marmaid’s request.

Tahereh Eybod She was born in 1963 and has an Associate Degree in English Teaching. She wrote her first book, Saleh, by Kanoon in 1984. She has written over 60 books and has won many awards. She has been working in the children and young adults section and has been a judge at various festivals.
