Book About:

Omid is about to return to Tehran after long years in Europe and a failed marriage. The news of his return brings disturbance in the life of his mother and of Bita, the childhood friend. The two women meet again for the first time in a long time and are confronted on the ground with old misunderstandings and lies. Among the memories emerge the wounds left by the war, the bitterness of mistakes made and regret for lost opportunities. Bita painstakingly recovers the contacts with the past and re-elaborates old grudges, recognizing in itself the difficulties of the whole of her generation, which history has left an orphan of certainties and points of reference. A novel that brings to light the most intimate folds of existence, telling them gently to the slow rhythm of the human soul.
