Book About:

Writing commentary on traditional religious texts has been pursued by the scholars for many years now. Because this helps the traditional sources to be revived and preserved for the coming generations, on the one hand, and has contributed to the knowledge of the laity of religion, on the other. Interpretation of Quran, traditions and invocations was part of this job undertaken by the scholars. Meanwhile the commentaries of Comprehensive Invocation continued to be key works in this area. This invocation is documented to Sheikh Tusi's testimony in his Tahzib and Sheikh Saduq's comment in his News of Imam Riza who quotes this invocation from a man called Nakhaei. This invocation covers themes like Shiah beliefs of Imamate, Imam and Shiah Muslims commitments toward the Immaculate Imams. Comprehensive Invocation serves as a course of Imamology taught in a very clear language. The commentaries by Muhammad Taqi Majlisi, Sheikh Ahmad Ibn Zeyn al-Din Ahsaei, Seyed Abdullah Shubbur and Abdullah Jawadi Amuli are of noted commentaries on this invocation. The commentary by Ayatollah Jawadi is designed in 12 volumes whose 9 volumes have been published.

Author About:

Mysticism is an ancient legacy of Iran and mystical literature is an expression of the nuances and beauties of Islamic culture of the country. Mystical literature has witnessed brilliant figures who had been of wonderful talents. Writing in the wake of revelation their works have continued to be among the cultural icons of Iran for past twelve centuries. Ibn Turkah's Tamhid al-Qawaeid is one of these great works in mysticism. The most important feature of this book is rationalization of mystical truths through discursive proofs. Tamhid al-Qawaeid is a work of intuition married to reason. Some believe that Ayatollah Jawadi's epilogue to this work is like the prologue that Qeysari once wrote to Ibn Arabi's Fusus al-Hikam. This new edition of the work is thoroughly revised and with annotations and glossaries.
