Khorshid Jaan is the one and only son of his parents. They have raised him with affection and care. They have always told Khorshid Jaan the story of love. One day when he helps an old woman to take her jar home, the old woman prays for him to marry the Narenj and Toranj Girl. She tells that there is a sour orange garden behind the Seven Mountains, the Seven Seas and the Seven Forests, where the Narenj and Toranj Girl has been captivated under the spell of the White Demon. “If you slice three sour oranges, the spell will break and the girl will be your bride,” says the old woman. Khorshid Jaan crosses the mountains, the seas and the forests and reaches the sour orange garden. When the demon is asleep, he picks the sour oranges. Suddenly the demon wakes up, but he cannot catch Khorshid Jaan because he jumps out of the garden and slices the oranges. Then, he tells the girl the story of love.
