This boy is used to sit by the river and throw his fishing hook in the water. The river is now full of waste. Across the river, there is a girl who stares at the bottom of the river hoping to locate a fish among the debris. The boy sends the girl a lamp. The girl wishes it is a magic lamp so that she could conjure the genie inside it. Then the boy makes a big genie out of the debris inside the river but there is still too much waste and the genie cannot move. They also make a bridge from the debris. Now the river is clean, the genie can move and the fish are back again.

Fatemeh Sarmashghi was born in 1979, Bijar. But her family soon moved to Karaj city. She didn’t begin writing before college years. Her first stories got published in her college’s press. Her books have been nominated in some national books’ festivals.
