Book About:

At Pace with the Lightning are a history book and a documentary on how the Mohammad Rasulullah (PBUH) Army 27 - one of the armies that influenced the Iran - Iraq war, was recruited. The book, after describing the historical and military role of the Mohammad Rasulullah (PBUH) Army 27, explains how this brigade was formed in the beginning which later became an army, and talks about the bravery, resistance and the commandership of the war. It also describes memories of the western and southern fronts and the operations in those areas. The I.R.I.’s Supreme Leader has stated about this book, “This book is a very rich and valuable source from which dozens of books, script, and biographies can be extracted. The moments and situations recorded throughout this book are the same astonishing subtleties that in their totality depict a magnificent and fascinating picture of operations such as Fath Al-Mobin and Beyt Al-Moghadas, showing the ultimate examples of the art of Jihad, sacrifice, bravery and ingenuity in the collection of the unique exhibition of Islamic Revolution’s Arts.” The text of this book is summarized in 5 topics: 1 - A brief review of what happened in Iran in the first year of the Iran - Iraq war. 2 - Changing Iran’s defensive strategy and adopting tactics and reorganizing Iran’s defenses at the end of the first year of the Imposed War. 3 - Mountain operations of the Mohammad Rasulullah Brigade in Kurdistan. 4 - How the Mohammad Rasulullah Brigade 27 was formed in Feb. 1982. 5 - Detailed overview of the performance of Brigade 27 from its inception, participation in Fath Al-Mobin and Beyt Al-Moghadas operations up to the deployment of Mohammad Rasulullah forces to Syria and return to Tehran in the summer of 1982. This book has made use of extensive and focused research including collecting, sorting, recording, and choosing text from 5300 minutes of audiotape, wireless conversation, meetings and discussions between various operational levels. The main difference between At Pace with the Lightning and other similarly documented books is that the story of war is told by the martyrs and fighters instead of the author.
