Morteza Neidavoud (1900-1990) was an Iranian famous musician and the composer of masterpieces such as “Morq-e Sahar (The Dawn Bird)” and “Atashai dar sine daram (I have a fire in my heart)”. While being very noble, his compositions were highly acclaimed by the society. The author of the present book has paid to the different aspects of the great master’s life. The book includes the biography, discography, notation of the works and the analysis of his playing techniques and compositions. Some pieces in different forms for solo-performance, Saz-o Avaz (Iranian classical singing accompanied by instrument), Pishdaramad (Prelude), Chaharmezrab, Tasnif and Reng are notated for the first time. The notations and their analysis can be valuable for the Iranian music lovers.
