Book About:

Investigating poetry and literature of resistance, illustrating different aspects of Iran's Holy Defense and comparing it with the literature of resistance of other countries using the eloquent language of art (especially literature) is undeniably important. Many artists and men of letter have looked into this significant issue because the literature of resistance, along with other forms of art, is considered an achievement resulting from humanity' thought and evolution in certain eras of its life and ignoring this achievement means ignoring a part of world’s literary heritage. The Wound of the Quill depicts the unheard cries and untold sorrows of struggles against the forces of colonization and exploitation that Iran’s and other Arabic countries’ poets of resistance have tried to illustrate. In the first chapter, the concept, prospect and relationship between literature and resistance are investigated. In other chapters, the themes of poetry of resistance such as patriotism, commemorating national heroes, fighting for one’s homeland and the integration of one’s love for country and slogans are examined.
