However, all people betray and then find a justification for it. When I betrayed Tahmineh, I was looking for a justification. I would sit for hours staring at the wall or the window, looking at the Pardis garden before me and I would imagine a world that my life with Tahmineh had not fulfilled. This was a world I was creating then to justify why I had gone to bed with someone else…………………

Author About:

Mojtaba Pourmohsen is a well-known Iranian author, poet, translator and literary critic. He has born in the City of Rasht, the North of the country, in 1979. He published his first novel, “Spring ’63,” in his early twenties and after several re-prints, won the Critics and Journalists Book of the Year award. He also published another novel, “Family Album,” and four poem collections with names of “I want to have an accident with me, Miss. Nurse,” “The Sevens,” “One Solo Tango,” and “The Fingers.” Soon, Pourmohsen will publish a short story collection, “Lenin in Rasht,” and two other poetry collections, “One Uninterrupted Hunt,” and “Bones.” He still lives and works in Rahst, and among notable names that he translated into Farsi are Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Harold Pinter, Raymond Carver, Maurice Blanchot, Nizar Qabbani and Umberto Eco.​
