Book About:

The book contains six short stories, depicting the struggles and crisis, women have to face, throughout their lives. Women from different walks of life.! The challenges they have to take on, regarding life, death, love, family and so on HIM The first story of the book starts when a woman, in her mid-thirties, stops her car near a newspaper stand to buy a pack of cigarettes. Then she notices a man from behind, who is standing there, as if he is reading the titles of the newspapers. The woman believes, by the way the man is standing and his hair, that he is her long- lost love. The one she had had a passionate relationship for years, but it had to come to an end, due to their differences regarding; commitment, marriage and having kids. She, now married with one kid, sits in her car, having flashbacks which are mostly overwhelming and wonders if she should get out of her car and meet him or not! The window of the kitchen This story is a woman's monolog. Actually, it is a dialog between the woman and her therapist on the phone, but we only hear the woman's voice. She has a session with the doctor, but gets trapped in a very heavy traffic, due to a rain storm. So, she won't get to the office in time and decides to have the therapy on the phone. At the beginning, she sounds kind of calm and sensible, but as she goes on, she seems stressed out and troubled. She has this idea that their kitchen is kind of stealing her husband away, as he prefers to spend all the time he is at home, in there. By the end of the story, we find out the reason behind the husband's devotion to the kitchen, so does the narrator! The window of a kitchen was selected as one of the best short stories, taking part in SHAB E YALDA literature prize in Iran
